Algebra/not sure what to do

If f(x) = x − 8, find the following.
How do I find f(p)

Thank you

  • Algebra/not sure what to do -

    f(x) = x-8 for whatever value x has. So, if x=p,

    f(p) = p-8

Just replace x with the desired value throughout the entire line.

  • Algebra/not sure what to do -

    thank you Steve
