the length of a rectangle is seven less than four times the width. Find the length if the area is 65 square units.

• Math -

L = (4 w - 7)
Lw = 65
(4w-7)w = 65
4 w^2 - 7 w - 65 = 0
( w - 5 )(4 w + 13 ) = 0
w = 5
L = 4(5) - 7 = 13
