Estimate the average distance, in kilometers, Lisa ran for the five days. Explain your estimation strategy.

Based on your previous answer, estimate the number of days it will take Lisa to run 100 kilometers. Explain your estimation strategy.

Once again please help, I need you Ms.Sue!

well she ran for five days so I will find the distance she ran in the five days and divide by five to find the distance per day

2.05+4.10+3.80+1.95 + 4.05 = 15.95 in the five days
15.95 / 5 = 3.19 km/day

3.19 km/day * x days = 100 km
x = 100/3.19 = 31.35 days
probably a bit more because she will get tired, but maybe less because she is getting in shape fast :)

To estimate the total distance, I'd round each day's distance to the nearest kilometer, and add them together. Divide the sum by 5 to get an average. Round to the nearest km.

Since this is supposed to be an approximation,

I see three days with 4 km each
and two days with 2 km each
total = appr 16 km

so appr 16 km in 5 days or about 3 km/day
32 km in 10 days
96 km in 30 days
100 km in about 31 days

To estimate the average distance Lisa ran for the five days, we can add up all the distances she ran and divide by the number of days. Let's do the calculation step by step:

1. Add up all the distances: 2.05 + 4.10 + 3.80 + 1.95 + 4.05 = 16.95 kilometers.

2. Divide the total distance by the number of days: 16.95 / 5 = 3.39 kilometers.

So on average, Lisa ran approximately 3.39 kilometers per day for the five days.

Now let's estimate the number of days it will take Lisa to run 100 kilometers. Since we know that Lisa ran an average distance of 3.39 kilometers per day, we can use this information to make an estimation:

1. Divide the total distance (100 kilometers) by the average distance per day: 100 / 3.39 = 29.50 days.

So, based on the average distance per day, it will take Lisa approximately 29.50 days to run 100 kilometers.

Please note that these estimations are based on the assumption that Lisa will continue running the same average distance per day in the future.
