Tina lost 3 pounds on the first week of her diet. She gained a pound on the second week, and then lost 2 pounds a week during every week afterwards. She has been dieting for a total of 13 weeks. How many pounds has Tina lost in all?
A. 22 pounds
B. 24 pounds
C. 20 pounds
D. 26 pounds
I answered B, because she has been dieting for a total of 13 weeks. She lost 3 pds the first week and she gained 1pd the second week. She lost 2pds regularly for 11 additional weeks. 3pds1pd=2pds 11 weeks x 2pds=22pds+2pds=24pds

24 looks good to me.
