Gregory filled a tank with 4 1/2 gallons of water. Linda filled the same tank with anothewr 2 1/3 gallons of water. finally, Meg added another 2 gallons of water. How many gallons of water were added to the tank?

    4 1/2 + 2 1/3 + 2
    = 9/2 + 7/3 + 2
    = 27/6 + 14/6 + 12/6 = 53/6 gallons or 8 5/6 gallons
