Given that cos θ = 5/13 and θ is in QIV, find the exact value of
a. y
b. sin θ
c. sec θ
d. tan θ

If cosØ = 5/13 and Ø is in IV , then using the standard definition of cos Ø = x/r
we have x=5, r=13, then
5^2 + y^2 = 13^2
y^2 = 144
and in IV ....
a) y = 12
b) sinØ = 12/13
c) secØ = 13/5
d) tanØ = y/x = 12/5
