The combination of the force of gravity and my hand provide a net force of 40 N on a ball straight up. The ball accelerates at 100 m/s2 while it is in my hand. What is the mass of the ball in kg?

  • physics -

    F = m*a
    m = F/a = 40/100 = 0.40 kg.
