I need help please. I answered (c)incorrectly.
Chantal and Julia ride horses in the same race. Chantal's horse finishes in one minute and 59.53 seconds. If Julia's horse runs 2.25 percent slower than Chantal's, how long does it take Julia's horse to finish the race? Round your answer to the nearest hundredth of a second.

(a)2 minutes and 2.91 seconds
(b)2 minutes and 1.97 seconds
(c)2 minutes and 2.22 seconds
(d)2 minutes and 2.28 seconds

1 : 59.53 = 119.53 sec
1.0225 times as long
119.53 * 1.0225 = 122.22 seconds
2 min = 120 s
so 2 min 2.22 seconds which is c
I answered (c) and got it wrong

Damon is probably right. Please check with your teacher to find out how to do this problem.

I got c also.
