what is the magnitude of the resultant of a 6.0n force acting vertically upward and a 4.0n force acting horizontally

  • physics -

Since those two forcesw are perpendicular, the magnitude is
    sqrt[6^2 + 4^2] = sqrt52 N = 7.21 N
