A sixth-grade class completed a survey about favorite foods. Of the students in the class 2/6 chose hamburgers, and 3/8 chose pizza. What fraction of the class chose either hamburgers or pizza.?

2/6 + 3/8 = 8/24 + 9/24 = 17/24.

1-17/24 = 24/24 - 17/24 = 7/24 Chose pizza or hamburger.
