The point P(k,24) is 25 units from the origin. If P is on the terminal arm of an angle in standard position, find, for each value of k.
a) The sin of the angle
b) The cosine of the angle

Math
Reiny
by Pythagoras
k^2 + 24^2 = 25^2
k^2 + 576 = 625
k^2 = 49
k = ± 7
if k = +7
sinØ = 24/25
cosØ = 7/25
if k= 7
sinØ = 24/25
sinØ = 7/25
