X^2 x+2=82, x^2+2x=82

• I don't know the quadreatic formula for this -

typo in the first ...

in 2nd:
x^2 + 2x - 82 = 0
x = (-2 ± √(4 -4(1)(-82))/2
= (-2 ± √332)/2
= (-2 ± 2√83)/2
= -1 ± √83
