21. 4x + 2y, Answer: 2
22. 3(x) *to the 3rd power*, Answer: 221
23. (x + y) *to the 2nd power*, Answer: 9

(3x)^3 = (6)^3 = 216
Not sure how you came up with 221, since 221 is neither a perfect cube, nor a multiple of 3.
