Algebra; simplifying expressions
posted by Jessica .
Can anyone help me simplify this expression? I am unsure of the proper steps. Thank you for your time.
2j+6

j^26j27

factor the denominator top and bottom and you get
2(j+3)

(j9)(j+3)
now you can cancel the j+3 factors to get
2/(j9)
