A transformer has cooling fans that are set to come on when the temperature reaches 32° Celsius. The temperature is 90° Fahrenheit. Are the fans running?

    F = 32 + 9C/5

    if C = 32 then
    F = 32 + 9(32/5)
    F = 89.6
    The fan goes on at 89.6 F so it is on at 90 F
