use the method of substitution to solve the system of linear equation 2x-y=5, 9x-4y=22

  • alg 1 -

    from the first one
    y = 2 x - 5
    so
    use (2x-5) instead of y in the second one
    9x - 4(2x-5) = 22
    Now solve that for x and go back and use either equation to get y
