The mass of the object was 8 kilograms. The object was acted on by a foce of 20 angle 80degrees newtons. What was the acceleration of the object?

Please walk me through the steps instead of just suggesting a formula..

    assuming that Fap = 20N @ 80 Deg and the object is on a level plane.

    Fh = Fap*cos80 = 20*cos80 = 3.47 N. =
    hor. component of Force applied.

    a = Fh/m = 3.47 / 8 = 0.434 m/s^2.
