What does a catalyst do to the rate of reaction? What would you expect to happen to the rate of decomposition of dinitrogen pentoxide if a catalyst were added to the system?

A catalyst lowers the activation energy needed for a reaction to take place and that increases the rate. I would expect the rate of decomposition of N2O5 to increase.
