a map of a country uses a scale of 2 inches = 19 miles. If the country is 76 miles wide, how wide is the map?

2 / 19 = x / 76 Multiply both sides by 76
2 * 76 / 19 = x
152 / 19 = x
8 = x
x = 8 in
