For each of the reactions below give a balanced equation.
1)Methane (CH4) with chlorine to give chloroform (CHCL3)and hydrogen cloride.
2) Sodium Hydroxide with phosphoric acid.
3)sodium carbonate with sulfuric acid.
4) sodium sulfide with hydrochloric acid.
simple google searches reveal:
CH4 + Cl2 = CH3Cl + HCl
H3PO4 + 3NaOH = Na3PO4 + 3H2O
Na2CO3 + H2SO4 -> Na2SO4 + H2O + CO2
Na2S + 2HCl = H2S + 2NaCl
