A cube of lead measuring 1 meter on each side is thrown into the ocean. Determine the buoyant force acting on this mass of lead. The density of lead is 11.4 grams/ cubic centimeter

    Weight of replaced water is
    mg=ρ•V•g= ρ•a^3•g=1025•1•9.8=10045 N
    (ρ is the density of sea water)
