my homework says a,b,and c represent gases what is a? a has 78.09 present by volume and i need to know what gas a stands for....i thought it was argon but argon is already a gas listed...HELP

I have no idea what "present by volume" means. Besides, your number 78.09 has no dimensions. Is it a molecular weight (grams per mole)?
