the lawn order lawnmower factory can produce 12 lawnmowers in 8 hours. How many hours will it take the actory to produce 30 lawnmowers.

  • math -

    8 / 12 = 4 * 2 / (4 * 3 ) = 2 / 3 hours / lawnmower

    30 * 2 / 3 = 60 / 3 = 20 hours

    OR

    8 / 12 = x / 30

    8 * 30 = 12 * x

    240 = 12 x Divide both sides by 12

    240 / 12 = x

    20 = x

    x = 20 hours

    OR

    30 / 12 = 2.5

    2.5 * 8 = 20 hours
