solve the system x+6y=24, -6x+5y= -21

  • college mathematics1 -

    I would use substitution
    form the 1st ----> x - 24-6y
    into the 2nd:
    -6(24-6y) + 5y = -21

    solve for y, then sub that back into x = 24-6y
