A team is made up of 6th 7th and 8th graders in the ratio of 234. How many 6th graders will be on a 36member team?

• math -

a ratio of 2:3:4 indicates 2+3+4=9 total parts.

Divide 36 into nine parts, making 4 students in each part. Multiply 4 by the ratios:

8:12:16

add those up and you have 36 in all.

Thank you Steve
