9d-d/5=88
c/2+11c=92
How do i solve for the variables d and c?

  • Geometry -

    I find it's usually easiest to get rid of fractions.

    9d - d/5 = 88
    45d - d = 440
    44d = 440
    d = 10
    check: 90-2 = 88

    c/2 + 11c = 92
    c + 22c = 184
    23c = 184
    c = 8
    check: 4+88 = 92
