An apple of mass 0.1kg is thrown from a 54 meter high building at an angle of 45 degrees with an initial velocity of 7. How long does it take for the apple to hit the ground? (assume g = 9.8 m.s-2)

Vo = 7m/s @ 45 deg.
Vo(v) = 7sin45 = 4.95m/s = ver comp.

d = Vo*t + 0.5gt^2 = 54 meters.
4.95t + 0.5*9.8t^2 = 54,
4.95t + 4.9t^2 - 54 = 0,
Solve using Quad. Formula and get:
t = 2.84, and -3.83.
Select + value of t.
t = 2.84s
