a cube is placed inside a right circular cylinder. How may cubic feet of water will file the cylinder that has the cube in it? The sides of the cube are 24. The radius of the cylinder in 12 square root of 2

thanks you

• geometry -

I will assume that the cylinder is also 24 feet high, and the other measurements are in feet.
volume of cylinder = π(12√2)^2 (24) = 6912π
volume of cube = 24^3 = 13824

so amount of water = 6912π - 1384 cubic feet
