what is the common ration of 2,12,18, and 27.
What are the next three numbers in the sequence.

I believe the sequence should read:
8,12,18, and 27, in which case the common ratio is the quotient of any two consecutive elements, such as:
    12/8=1.5,
    18/12=1.5, or
    27/18=1.5
So the next number is therefore
    27*common ratio
    =27*1.5
    =40.5
    And the next number is
    40.5*common ratio, ....
