a) What number is subtracted from each number to get the next number?
b) What number is divided into each number to get the next number?
c)
7 + 8 = 15
8 + 15 = 23
23 + ? = 38 
a) 5 is subtracted from each so, it should be 13,8,3
b)2 is divided into each number so, it should be 40,20,10
c)23+15=38
