what is the sequence to 1/2,0.5,50%,1/7,0.143,

  • 5th grade -

    1/2 , 0.5 and 50% are all equivalent

since 1/7 is appr equal to .143 , then 14.3% would fit the pattern.

  • 5th grade -

    1/2 = 0.5 = 50%

When you divide 1 by 2 you get 0.5. To convert that to a percent, multiply by 100.

    1/7 = 0.143

What is 0.143 multiplied by 100?

Another way of converting a decimal to a percent is to move the decimal point two places to the right.
