Hi,

I'm working on my Learning Log of Vocabulary Words, and there are two words that I can't find sentences for
abnegate, and abode
Can someone please help me with these?
Thank you!

The noun, abode, means a home or a person's dwelling place.

My abode for the last seven years has been a two-bedroom apartment.

Of course! I'd be happy to help you find sentences for the words "abnegate" and "abode."

To find sentences, you can try a few different strategies:

1. Online Dictionaries: Online dictionaries like Merriam-Webster and Oxford English Dictionary often provide example sentences for words. You can search for each word separately on these websites, and they should provide you with sentences that demonstrate the usage of the words.

2. Search Engines: You can use search engines like Google to look for sentences that use the words. Just type the word you want to find sentences for into the search bar, followed by the word "sentence." For example, you can search for "abnegate sentence" or "abode sentence." This should bring up websites or resources that provide sentences containing the words.

3. Corpus Databases: Corpus databases, such as the Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA) or the British National Corpus (BNC), are large collections of written and spoken English. These databases can be searched for specific words and provide numerous examples of how the words are used in context. You can access these databases online, but keep in mind that some may require a subscription or access fee.

Remember that when using these strategies, it's helpful to read multiple sentences to get a better understanding of how the words are used in different contexts. This will give you a more comprehensive understanding of their meanings and usage.
