1. I brushed my teeth so I took a shower.

2. I brushed my teeth because I took a shower.

(Are both grammatical? What do they mean?)

    Techically, they are both grammatical, but they don't make much sense. Brushing teeth is neither a cause nor effect of taking a shower.
