A cafe sells turkey, roast beef, ham, or cheese sandwiches;milk, water,or juice;and yogurt and fruit. how many different meals are possible for a person who wants a sandwich, drink, and dessert.

    make a possibility tree:
    turkey
    roast beef
    ham
    cheese

Multiply the number of sandich types (4) times the number of drink types (3) times the number of desserts (2) and you get 24 possible combos. It's that simple (go figure!)
