THE importance of studying geography and culture?

  • geography -

It's important to learn about the world about you, how to read maps, and gain understanding of other people.

Geography may not be important to people who never travel more than 10 miles from home. But most people use products made around the world and will travel long distances both in their home countries and abroad.

I used to tell my geography students that geography was travel and travel is fun!!
