Is the Bayeux Tapestry an accurate source? Why or Why not?
The Bayeux Tapestry, which I was privileged to see a few years ago, is probably not an accurate historical source. It's purpose was to celebrate William the Conqueror's victory. In addition, a fairly large part is missing.
