im a little confused on this..

does - que almorzaste ayer- mean what did you have for lunch yesterday? or did you have lunch yesterday..
and does this mean who did you eat lunch with- con quien almorzaste?and what does this mean- la ultima vez que fuiste al cine, quien pago? y el restaurante?
these are the three i cant get
thank you! :):)

First of all, if accent marks are required, they must be there. If this is a question, it needs proper punctuation.

What did you see? ¿Qué almorzaste ayer? If so, What did you have for lunch yesterday? is what it is asking.

¿Con quién almorzaste? = With whom did you have lunch?

La última vez que fuiste al cine, ¿quién pagó? = The last time you went to the movies, who paid?

"y el restaurante?" = and the restaurant?

No problem! I'll be happy to help clarify your confusion. Let's break down each question and its meaning:

1. "¿Qué almorzaste ayer?" - This phrase translates to "What did you have for lunch yesterday?" It is asking about the specific food or meal you had during lunchtime the day before. The verb "almorzar" means "to have lunch."

2. "¿Comiste almuerzo ayer?" - This phrase translates to "Did you have lunch yesterday?" It is asking whether or not you had a meal during the lunchtime hours on the previous day. The verb "comer" means "to eat." This question is more general and does not inquire about the specific food you ate.

3. "¿Con quién almorzaste?" - This phrase translates to "Who did you eat lunch with?" Here, you're being asked about the people you shared a meal with. The verb "almorzar" remains the same, meaning "to have lunch," and "con quién" means "with whom."

4. "La última vez que fuiste al cine, ¿quién pagó?" - This question translates to "The last time you went to the cinema, who paid?" It is asking about the person who covered the expenses for the cinema visit. The phrase "la última vez que fuiste al cine" means "the last time you went to the cinema," and "pagó" means "paid."

5. "¿Y el restaurante?" - This part means "And the restaurant?" It is an incomplete question, and it seems to be asking about who paid for the restaurant bill or about any other related information regarding the restaurant.

To better understand the meanings of sentences or phrases, it's helpful to look at the specific vocabulary used and the context in which they are being used. If you're still unsure, feel free to provide more information for further clarification!
