ok so I asked a question like this before and I understood how to do it and a cuple more like it but now I don't understand how to do this on .....
I keep on trying to find the answer but I just don't understand what I am supposed to do
5(2w+1)=25

Multiply negative 5 by 2w then you add 1 and see if the answer is right.

but I am still confused I need step by step instructions because I don't think I got the right answer 
The first thing that you to is distribute the 5 to both the terms in parenthesese.
So you get 10W5=25.
than you add five to both sides and get 10w=30.
The last thing you do is divide both sides by 10.
w=3.
