    Assuming "waiting street" is supposed to read "Watling Street", Wikipedia says that this was originally Wæcelinga Stræt, and is now the A2 from Dover to London followed by the A5 from London to Wroxeter. (Somehow it doesn't have the same ring to it, does it?)
