Did the american foriegn policy(the truman doctrine) succeed or fail in Korea, why or why not?

  • Social Studies -

The Truman Doctrine partly succeeded in Korea. After a long and bloody war, Korea was divided into two countries -- South Korea was democratic while North Korea became communist. The U.S. still maintains a military presence on the border between the two countries -- over 50 years after the armistice was signed.
