Respond to one of the Survivor Videos by comparing and contrasting the survivor’s experience to that of Wiesel. (3-5 sentences).

survivor: Shaylee Atary Winner Survivor of Hamas terrorist

One quote that made me think while reading was on page 65: "I have not lost faith in God. I have moments of anger and protest. Sometimes I've been closer to Him for that reason." This quote stood out to me because it shows the complexity of Wiesel's relationship with God during his time in the concentration camps. While he experienced moments of anger and protest, he also found solace in his faith at times. It made me reflect on the concept of faith and how it can be both a source of comfort and a source of conflict in times of extreme adversity.

Comparing and contrasting Shaylee Atary's experience as a survivor of Hamas terrorist with that of Wiesel, one commonality is the trauma they both endured. Both Atary and Wiesel faced immense suffering and loss during their respective ordeals. However, one difference is that Atary's experience seems to have been more focused on a singular incident of terrorism, while Wiesel's experience spanned over a longer period of time in the concentration camps. Additionally, Wiesel's experience was influenced by anti-Semitism and the Holocaust, whereas Atary's experience was influenced by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
