Function: In mathematics, a function is a relationship between two sets of values, where each input value corresponds to exactly one output value. It is a rule or process that maps the input values to the output values.

Illustration: Let's consider a function that doubles any given number. If we input the number 4 into this function, the output would be 8, as the function doubles the input value. Similarly, if we input 6, the output would be 12.
