Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. She was an adventurous and determined woman who became a famous pilot and aviation pioneer. Earhart began flying lessons in 1921 and just a few years later, she became the 16th woman to receive a pilot's license.
In 1932, Earhart made history by becoming the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. She also set many other records, including being the first person to fly solo from Hawaii to California. Earhart was known for her fearless spirit and determination to push the boundaries of what was thought possible for women in aviation.
Tragically, Earhart disappeared in 1937 while attempting to fly around the world. Despite extensive search efforts, her plane was never found, and her disappearance remains a mystery to this day. Amelia Earhart's legacy lives on as an inspiration to women and aviators around the world.
