I have chosen to focus on the organization, Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). The mission of this organization is to provide medical aid to people affected by conflict, natural disasters, epidemics, or healthcare exclusions, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed, or political affiliation. They achieve their mission by sending medical teams to areas in need around the world, setting up clinics and hospitals, and providing essential medical care to those who cannot access it otherwise. I chose this organization because of their commitment to providing medical care where it is most needed, and their dedication to helping those most vulnerable in crisis situations.
I plan to support Doctors Without Borders by raising awareness and funds for their work through fundraising events, social media campaigns, and advocating for their cause. I also hope to volunteer with them in the future to directly contribute to their mission on the ground in areas of crisis. Additionally, I plan to educate others about the important work that Doctors Without Borders does, and encourage them to support this organization as well.
