In Unit 6, I learned about the concept of plate tectonics and how the Earth's lithosphere is divided into several large and small plates. One interesting thing I learned is that the movement of tectonic plates can be responsible for the formation of ocean basins and continents over millions of years. Additionally, I learned about the different types of plate boundaries, including divergent boundaries where plates move apart, convergent boundaries where plates collide, and transform boundaries where plates slide past each other.
