Semen is a white or grayish fluid that is expelled from the male reproductive system during ejaculation. It contains sperm cells and various other proteins and enzymes that help nourish and protect the sperm on their journey to fertilize an egg. Semen is produced by the male reproductive organs (testes, prostate, and seminal vesicles) and is released during sexual intercourse.
