One day, a young woman named Lily found herself caught in the crossfire of their battle. She was running for her life, dodging blasts of electricity and gusts of wind as she tried to find a way out. Just when she thought she was done for, Blackout and Vortex suddenly paused their fight and turned their attention to her.
"What are you doing here, human?" Blackout asked, his eyes crackling with energy.
Lily could barely speak through her fear. "I was just passing by, I swear! Please, don't hurt me."
Vortex raised an eyebrow, his stormy eyes filled with curiosity. "She seems harmless, Blackout. Maybe we should help her instead of causing her harm."
Blackout grunted in agreement, his electricity flickering. "Fine. But only because I don't want the blood of an innocent on my hands."
