Im doing a STEM Project on natural teeth whitening, these are the

materials and steps:

Materials:
1. Baking soda
2. Lemon juice
3. Coconut oil
4. Activated charcoal
5. Toothbrush
6. Mixing bowl
7. Measuring spoons
8. Timer or stopwatch
9. Optional: toothpaste for comparison

Steps:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 teaspoon of baking soda with a few drops of lemon juice.
2. Mix well until it forms a paste-like consistency.
3. Dip your toothbrush into the mixture and gently brush your teeth for 2 minutes.
4. Spit out the mixture and rinse your mouth thoroughly.
5. Optionally, you can also try brushing with coconut oil or using activated charcoal for additional whitening effects.
6. Repeat this process 2-3 times a week for a few weeks and see how it works for you.

What can I put Data/Observations on

It is easier to understand the data if it is put into a table or graph.

Create a table first that organizes your data.

Make sure the table has a title and data is clearly identified.

Make sure any numbers have units (SI).

Create a graph and import it here (or on an additional slide).

This can be a line graph, bar graph or pie chart (depending on what kind of data you have.

Make sure all data is properly labeled.

Is there a title?

Is there an x-axis/y-axis? What values should be there?

Did you use TAILS (title, axis identified, intervals (spaced out properly), labels, scale (does the graph fit the entire page)?

Is there a legend or a key?

For your natural teeth whitening project, you can collect data and make observations on the following:

1. Initial tooth color: Before starting the natural teeth whitening process, record the initial color of the teeth using a standard tooth color chart or scale.

2. Treatment duration: Note the number of weeks or days you are performing the natural teeth whitening treatment.

3. Whiteness scale: Evaluate the whiteness of your teeth after each treatment session. You can use a tooth color chart or scale, similar to the one used for initial color recording, to measure the change in tooth shade.

4. Subjective observations: Keep a record of any subjective observations you have regarding the effectiveness of the natural teeth whitening treatment, such as changes in tooth sensitivity, gum health, or overall satisfaction with the results.

You can organize your data in a table like this:

| Treatment Week | Initial Tooth Color | Whiteness Scale Reading | Subjective Observations |
|----------------|---------------------|------------------------|------------------------|
| Week 1 | | | |
| Week 2 | | | |
| Week 3 | | | |
| ... | | | |

For the graph, you can create a line graph with the x-axis representing the treatment week and the y-axis representing the whiteness scale reading. The values on the x-axis should correspond to the treatment week (for example, Week 1, Week 2, Week 3), and the values on the y-axis should represent the whiteness scale readings you recorded.

Make sure to add a title to your graph, label the x-axis and y-axis with appropriate titles and units, space out the intervals properly, add labels to data points, and ensure the graph fits the entire page. If you are including different treatments (such as using coconut oil or activated charcoal), you may also include a legend or key to differentiate the data points on the graph.
