What is network

A network is a collection of interconnected devices and systems that are linked together to allow for communication and data sharing between them. It can be a physical infrastructure that consists of cables, wires, routers, switches, and other networking devices, or a virtual infrastructure that exists in the cloud.

Networks can be categorized into different types based on their scale and purpose. Local Area Networks (LANs) are networks that cover a small geographic area, such as a home, office, or building. Wide Area Networks (WANs) are networks that span a larger geographical area, connecting LANs of different locations.

Internet, the largest network in existence, connects millions of devices and networks across the globe, providing a means for data communication and access to various resources and services.

Networks enable the sharing of resources and information, such as files, printers, and applications, among connected devices. They also enable communication through email, instant messaging, voice and video calls, and other forms of digital communication.
