Context Clues: words or phrases in a text that help readers understand the meaning of unfamiliar words by providing hints or clues about their definition.

Antonym: a word that has the opposite meaning of another word.

Synonym: a word that has the same or similar meaning as another word.

Affix: a word element, such as a prefix or suffix, that is added to a base word or root to create a new word or modify the meaning of an existing word.

Prefix: a word element added to the beginning of a word or root to modify its meaning or create a new word.

Root: a word element that carries the main meaning of a word and cannot be broken down into smaller parts.

Suffix: a word element added to the end of a word or root to modify its meaning or create a new word.
